What is CSR?
It’s essential for any business that wants to survive and while it’s not compulsory, it’s a great idea for businesses to reduce or eliminate their negative impacts, if not make positive impacts. CSR aims to promote social wellbeing and benefits to the environment, sometimes at a small cost to the business.
All too esoteric and heavy for this time of the day? It’s easy, really.
As we go about our business day, we and our work create waste, such as paper, empty coffee cups, plastic take away containers, ink cartridges, and even electronic devices. It’s true – we update our laptops and phones from time to time. How do we dispose of all this waste? We recycle as much as we can, or dispose of gadgetry responsibly (minimising the amounts of potentially dangerous chemicals that end up in the ground, and therefore the water table). We minimise our carbon footprint by recycling paper and plastics, and using recycled supplies whenever possible. We even go as far as turning off the electronic switch when we’re not using the kettle! We like to think we’re making a difference both at work and in our homes.
We love to recognise the valuable work not-for-profits do in our community, by offering value-added services or discounts to our NFP clients. We at AMIRE are lucky to work closely with several NFP organisations, and understand the huge challenges they face to simply keep their doors open, let alone conduct the priceless work they do.
We’re marketers; it’s what we do best. We exist in a world driven by data, and we thrive on producing tangible results. Similarly, we’re committed to demonstrating tangible results in how we make a difference to our community. Stick around, and you’ll see exactly how we do this!
